Phsh Rocks All-styles: PVT Wins

Last Sunday, Illvibe Collective's very own DJ Phsh brought his unique talents to the tables at Silk City and smashed it. With the venue filled to near capacity the circles were live, the dancers were out in droves, and the drinks were flowing all night long. A lot of new faces came through including the boisterous and fun-loving Money Chain crew. Local crews such as the Hood Lockers, Repstyles Crew, Illadelphi Phlave, Illogistics, the Broad Street Bullies, In Da Clutch, and many more came out for a good time. Our panel of judges for the evening included Mighty Mouse of Repstyles Crew, Virg-ill of The Monsta Squad, and Gate The Monster of Versatile (all previous months winners). Needless to say, the night was action-packed.

All Styles Battle : Sundae success

As usual, this Second Sundae went off without a hitch and was incredibly entertaining. From Portland, OR we had DJ Ohmega Watts bless the tables during our battles. The crowd was lively and the competitors were tough but Ohmega was able to satisfy both with his song selection.

 

Cricket, a Philadelphia dance legend, judged alongside four-time 2nd Sundae winner Mighty Mouse. The final battle ended up being between Loki/Tyger B and Box/Frenchie. After fours rounds of fire Box and Frenchie came out on top as the evenings winners.

Kev Love spun out the rest of the evening and dropped some suprising gems on us while rocking the crowd. Another successful notch for the 2nd Sundae belt.

                             

Final Battle

Last nights festivities were off the hook! We had an ethusiastic crowd for all the battles yesterday and a wonderful turnout of competitors which led to some amazing battles. Check out the final battle between BoxWon aka Buk50 and Mighty Mouse. It was a heated exchange to say the least.

It's almost the Second Sundae of the month and you know what that means - BATTLES!

This month Foxx Boogie of The Get Free Movement will be blessing our decks with wonderful breaks and funky music. The battles begin at 5 pm and end by 8 pm. Steve Believe will be emceeing the nights festivities alongside an all-star judging panel of Philadelphia's finest. The contest will be a 1 on 1 breakin' battle which is sure to be heated. And while this is the city of brotherly love don't expect kindness when you're in that circle, it's only once the smoke has cleared that you're safe to be friends with everyone again.

And remember, this is an all ages event but there are two bars, lots of sunshine, and a breathtaking view of....Camden. So prepare yourself for a funky adventure along the water front and please bring out your dancing shoes (we're out of loaners).

May's Breakin' Battles

Philadelphia's own DJ Skeme Richards of The Rock Steady Crew blessed our tables this month as we hosted our first 2nd Sundae dance competition at our summer venue - Morgan's Pier. One of Philadelphia's brightest young stars, BoxWon, took this months crown. But it was no easy feat as he had to battle through a tough line-up of b-boys and b-girls in order to achieve victory. Look, learn, and listen!

Secondsundae March 10th

Fresh off his 2nd win (how fitting) in the Redbull Thre3style DJ competition, West Philly's own DJ Phsh will be spinning this months Secondsundae dance party and All Styles competition.  He will be bringing all that and then some to this months party as we celebrate at our favorite bar and diner, Silk City.
